The Wepo slalom blade is the latest addition to the ZSS paddle range. We have revisited the discipline where our love for paddling began and created a paddle in line with the requirements of the modern dynamic slalom paddler.
 
The Wepo slalom blade was named as a sign of respect and admiration for Jeff Barratt or Wepo (short for weapon) as he is affectionally called by his close friends. Jeff has arguably spent more time at slalom courses in his life than any other living person. Wepo is an appropriate name for a great guy who is well known for pushing his instruments of pleasure hard; less talk and more action was and is how this guy lives. We hope this blade shape will become as well known and as liked as Jeff himself.
 
The ZSS Wepo carbon fibre paddle represents the highest quality in construction and finish.
A CNC machined high-density PVC foam core is sandwiched by aero-grade quality twill carbon fibre cloth and unidirectional carbon fibre set within an epoxy matrix. Machined alloy heated molds provide high compression and heat to produce a superb gloss finish. 316 stainless steel tips ensure the blade tips last longer and grip on punts. Reinforcing is provided in critical areas to ensure these blades will stand up to the rigors of slalom racing.
 
Adjustable paddles come standard with our anodized aluminium (6061 hard anodized) adjustor.

Semi-aggressive curve from front neck to blade tip on blade face to provide for grip and efficency on every propulsive stroke
Low profile edges and centre ridge provide for less resistance and easy slicing
Internal neck further minimises slicing resistance

The Wepo blades are available in two blade constructions; elite and race. The difference between the two blade constructions is simply additional reinforcement in the race model to allow for a little extra punishment on the whitewater.
